Police Officers Turn in Their Uniforms for Fishing Gear

Thursday, 8/7, in conjunction with the Medina Community Police Activities League (MCPAL), Chief Grice, School Resource Officer Pinkas, MCPAL Assistant Direct and Administrative Assistant Rebecca Byrne and Intern Zach accompanied 22 Medina area kids on a chartered fishing trip to Lake Erie. All fishing supplies were provided, and the chartered boats were paid for via a grant that was obtained through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. MCPAL is a youth crime prevention program, administered by the Montville Police Department, that utilizes educational, athletic and recreational activities to create trust and understanding between police officers and youth by bringing them together in a fun and active environment.
